Having survived a Live Earth appearance with Madonna, the gypsy-punk rabble from New York resume proceedings with this fifth album and major label debut. Well known for his stripped-down arrangements, Rick Rubin is an odd choice of producer for a band noted for their energetic live shows, and this cleaner sound is a mistake. Having lived in Brazil for two years, Eugene Hütz adds Portuguese vocals to the usual sound and, while his attack remains as intense as ever, it's hard to sustain interest in yet another offering of gypsy punk rock.
