Greco Roman aren't exactly a label, but a collective of musicians, DJs and producers from Berlin and London who've just put out their first official release, a two-disc epic of some of the most interesting dance music around. They include Hot Chip's Joe Goddard, and his sensibility, which could be summarised as four-to-the-floor with feeling, is much in play here. It's an unrelentingly pleasant two hours of music, but the best tracks, Goddard's Gabriel and London producer Hackman's Satisfy among them, are as much driven by pathos as they are beats.
